Mission SATVIC Alchemy
Where we nourish you from the Inside Out
We have the vision to empower and balance each individual in their Health and Well-being through self-awareness. We seek to awaken what lies dormant, inviting the hidden in the subtle to become visible. By opening the doors to your innate potential and knowledge of the Natural laws that facilitate healing processes, transformation and contemplative states that foster a deeper connection with the "Whole" of which we are a part.

I'm Berta Couto
...the Mind & Heart whom visualised and created Satvic Alchemy .
How it all started...
Although I consider myself a global citizen, I am originally from Almada, Portugal, born in 1989. My passion for Nature and curiosity about the mysteries of the body, mind, and soul have shaped the person I am today.
- Degree in Nursing (2011);
-Lived in the United Kingdom from 2012 to 2019, where I gained professional experience in Neurology and Intensive Care, as well as deepened my personal practice and philosophy of Yoga;
- I traveled to various parts of the world, from Central America, North Africa, and Europe, to Asia, exploring and learning from the knowledge of other cultures, natural healing arts, and ancient medicines;
- In India, I completed training in Hatha & Ashtanga Vinyasa (Rishikul Yogshala), immersed myself in the teachings of Advaita Vedanta (guided by the wisdom of Mooji & Swami Atmananda Udasin), and discovered Ayurveda;
- After returning to Portugal in 2019, I completed a Master’s training in Ayurveda at the Centro de Ayurveda, where I have collaborated as a partner instructor;
- Since 2021, I have also been teaching in YTTC 200h & 300h trainings, topics like: Traditional Ashtanga, Anatomy and Alignment, as well as an Introduction to Ayurveda;
- Certified in Sound Healing Level I with Cosmic Gong Academy and Reiki Usui Level I, applied in Prana Therapy,
- Continued my studies with a special focus on Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga, Biomechanics, Adjustments and Alignment and Aerial Yoga;
- Currently, I am in the final year of my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (UMC - European partner of ChengDu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine).

My Vision...
I believe that through a regular practice of Presence, following the path of Unconditional Love, guided by the heart, it is possible to make life a seed of what we truly wish to see grow or change in the world and within each of us.

It is only when we surrender to the cosmic rhythm and attune ourselves to the threads that connect us to all beings that the currents of life flow in harmony.
The meaning...
Alchemy
Alchemy emerges as a symbol of the individual journey of inner transformation that our space promotes, offering various practices of transmutation for those who seek to purify and elevate their essence, achieving a state of greater awareness and harmony within. Just as in the Middle Ages, where Alchemy practiced the transmutation of a stone into gold in the quest for the "Elixir of Eternal Life," this serves as a metaphor for a shift in consciousness, where the stone represents the ignorant mind that is transformed into gold or wisdom.
Our services, ranging from Yoga and therapies to dietary adjustments and daily routines, are ways to transform imbalances into harmony.
Satvic comes from the sanskrit word Sattva
...one of the three gunas (fundamental qualities) that govern nature and the human mind. It represents purity, harmony and the balance between the other two gunas: rajas (activity, action) and tamas (inertia, apathy).
Something that is Satvic is considered calm, serene and in balance with nature, which is the energy infused into the services/alchemies offered in our space.

Personal & Collective
To honor the ancient traditions and teachings of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine by integrating them in a respectful, honest, transparent and ethical manner, adapted to the current reality.
Encourage the practice of mindfulness and Presence in the moment, both in classes and therapeutic contexts, as well as in daily life, promoting a more conscious way of living in our interactions with Nature, with others and with ourselves.
To approach others with compassion, understanding and respect, creating a safe environment where everyone, regardless of their background or experience, feels welcome and embraced.
Promote continuous development by encouraging self-exploration and regular practice. Additionally, foster the questioning of our role in the community, encouraging unity and mutual support.
